Just got my SONY PCG-U3! PICS! EDIT: NEW & IMPROVED PICS!

Just got my sony PCG-U3. Dayam is this thing tiny. here's a few pics! The keyboard is pretty small and requires pretty nimble fingers to type on it . . . though over the past couple of hours I am getting really used to it. Finally I can really carry my laptop with me everywhere and whip it out in the middle of a bad movie and be productive! I sacrifice performance for portability as far as the price is concerned, but that is what I was going for (ultra-portability).

It is small alright ... but is it convenient for a long usage ? ... tiny keyboard usually makes my hand painful after a few hour typing. But hey, it's definitely light to bring around in a 7 hour flight from JFK to LAX

I love this thing. typing takes a little getting used to, but I'm lovin it!

Mouse is in the upper right hand corner, and left and right buttons are on the upper left hand corner, so you hold it like a gameboy. The scroll (jogdial) is right next to the mouse/jpystick pad on the right hand side, so I can surf the internet very easily with this little guy. Typing isn;t too bad after some practice. I have really adjusted to it . . but I certainly can;t touch type . . .yet!
It definately requires nible fingers for sure.

wow, thats pretty impressive.....whats the batery life? how much are these babies?

battery life on the standard battery is around 2-3 hours (depending on screen brightness mostly). With a VGA dongle and the 512 MB ram upgrade mine was $1835 shipped from dynamism.com.

I was wrong on the battery, I can actually get the battery to go to 4 hours by setting the brightness lower.
its friggin cool!
