Haven't broken the static bag yet, but the white stickers on the back of the Sapphire card do not state GTO2 Limited Edition.
Instead it says: Radeon X800 GTO 256MB GDDR3 v/d/vo
PN 102-A47487-10-AT
Is this the coveted Sapphire card, or did I get hosed? Am I just being paranoid?
UPDATE:
I was being paranoid. Unlocked and overclocked without any problems. For now I am running at XT speeds. When I get my Zalman cooler, I will try to find the ceiling... what an awesome buy!
3DMark05 v1.2 Scores:
12 Pipes Stock: 4426
16 Pipes Stock: 4968
16 Pipes XT (520/540): 5748
UPDATE 2: With Zalman AlCu:
16 Pipes XTPE: 5913 3DMark03
16 Pipes 565/580: 6000 3DMark03! Full load = 75 Degrees Max
I get errors in AtiTool if I push the memory past 585, but the core can go to 600! For now, though, since some the components on the card get *so so hot* at these clocks, I run it at 565/580 which gives me higher scores than XTPE speeds. BF2 Runs like butter at 16x12 with a combo of high and medium settings.
Now that I have the Zalman hooked up to the card directly, the Max temps are quite a bit lower than they were before (I had the Zalman at around 7volts and a Panaflo at 5v exhausting hot air out the back). I am using ATiTool to control the Fan speed increments.
This has allowed me to maintain steadier temps and get rid of the extra Panaflo.
This cooler keeps the card at around 75 degrees when overclocked past XTPE speeds! It also has no problem keeping the card below 50 degrees at 30% voltage ==>silent
Not bad for a cheapo Dell (820D) and a 200 dollar video card!
