I'm impressed with it overall. For $50, this is one of the best buys i've ever had. The toner is $20 more than the printer itself (after rebate) but w/e its still an awesome buy for anyone looking for an affordable monochrome laser printer. Text is rich and very easy to read even with tonersaver on. Its not as loud as some described but who keeps their printer on when they aren't printing? Durable, fast, and simple: theres one button and one switch on it: I/0 and cancel.
After having a Canon Multipass F30
for 5 years, i was ready for a real printer and i have found one. The fact that it doesn't print in color is better because anything i really need to print in color i can print in the archlab or kinkos. I would strongly reccomend this printer to anyone who needs an affordable laser printer. Its compact size also makes it perfect for those with little desk space.
As always, newegg shipped fast: Ordered late wednesday night, arrived today.
EDIT: The generic 10-foot usb printer cable ($1.09) i also bought is a lifesaver as there's considerable distance between the printer and the usb port. But for those who need to use a parallel port or w/e the old one was are out of luck with this printer though, unless you want to buy an adapter as usb is the only option.
