Wez, the P3 900 is too near the limit for that line of cpu's. It's just not very overclockable.
The Celeron (Tualatin) 1.1A can run 133+ fsb so you will get a lot more speed out of it.
I guess I was lucky to find a second hand P3-S 512k cache 1.26ghz and got a good adapter for it pretty cheap. Since I was ordering other items from them at the same time the shipping wasn't that bad a sting and I ordered on Friday - received the stuff the following Monday. Everything was just as they promised it would be too. It's not a very good website, but the prices & service are good.
So anyway, you can sell the P3 900 on the FS forum here on AT and buy a Cel 1.1A (Newegg) & adapter and maybe break even. (at least offset most of the cost)
Then run the 1.1A on 133 fsb for a cpu speed of 1466mhz.
It has 256K cache just like the P3 and the only thing I know of that they did to it is the cache runs at "latency 1" instead of "latency 0".
If you can get your fsb up to 139 that will give you a cpu of 1529mhz
