W00t! Turned up two days early, vs the date given when I ordered. I got a 15" with the upgraded hi-res screen, 2.0 i7 Quad, and 4Gb RAM. I'm quite happy to upgrade the RAM myself if I feel the need, or if I start running VMs on here on a regular basis.
So I'm mostly going to be doing video editing on this, and I have VoltaicHD converting my AVCHD files as I type. It's a replacement for my aging Win XP Core2Duo E6400 that ran @ 3.2Ghz w/2Gb RAM and a 1950 Pro.
So, any tips, tricks, etc? I'm currently working through a guide to enable me to TimeMachine to my Windows Home Server. I have the terminal on my dock (I'm a *nix veteran and have been sudo su already today on this thing...!), so nothing is out of my reach or capability. What are the must have/must do things to make this experience as great as possible?
