Hey guys,

my old speakers made the same buzzing and I thought the new speakers would fix it, but they didn't.
I just got the Z-3's from the buy.com deal and they are making a hum/buzz when nothing is happening.

wondering how I can fix them,
when nothing is moving they just humm, I can turn the bass level down and the humm isn't as loud, and the buzz/humm increases with the volume control.

but the weird thing is....
at idle it buzzes, when I am typing I can hear little thump sounds in the buzzing, and when I move the mousethe buzzing stops, but once the mouse is idle the buzzing starts again.
Also, when I play games I can hear the game, but there is still a buzz sound in the background until I move the mouse.

its almost like its related to some kind of interference from the computer,

I have a p4 3.0ghz, 1 gig ram, 360 gigs of hdd's, 19" LCD Dell monitor, dvd burner, mad dog free sound card,
also the speakers are running through a Iogear KVM switch
just incase the hardware matters.

please help this buzz is driving me crazy.

KVM switch was the problem,
when I unplugged it from the kvm switch the buzzing immediately stopped,

I plugged the speakers directly into the free mad dog sound car I have and its perfect.

now I see what people mean when they say the subwoofer on the Z-3s is muddy

problem solved

Yeah but what do you expect for under $20 :) I just picked up a set too and I think the price/performance is amazing, much better than I expected.
