I'm looking for an online game like WoW, DAOC, something like that. What's a good, addicting game that doesn't take a lot of time to learn?
 
I am quite fond of Guild Wars since I was never too fond of WoW, or of Warcraft III for that matter. Guild Wars is a good deal more like Diablo II in some respects, and in my opinion, has better looking graphics than WoW. The free online play is a nice bonus, and I think the game is very entertaining. That said, I recognize that it is not for everyone, and you should go out and see if you can't get some trial cards for some of the different games and give them a whirl.

Very fun game... slightly addicting. But you can get in an out of a game quickly. With WoW you will have devote an ungodly anount of hours to it.

Does anyone here play Star Wars: Battlefront? It looks entertaining, but I don't want to get a game that looks good, but actually sucks to play.

I'd also give a vote for GuildWars...the expansion Factions is now out , and the third part NightFall will be released within a month or two. (can't remember the exact date). I couldn't get into the WoW craze either but I've had a LOT of fun playing this game.
As far as easy to get the hang of.....I've got my mom hooked on it as well and she plays almost daily now...she's also got a few of her friends hooked on it too. So I'd say that it suits all ages..
and I think the graphics are better than WoW too....

Star Wars: Battlefront sucks so badly!!! I mean REALLY BAD... it is just a FPS with really no story line. Think of Quake 4 deathmatch with BOTS and rename that Star Wars: Battlefront.

i hate when people say this BS all the time. just because you can't play the game without becoming addicted to it doesn't mean other people will.

just download all the trials and play the games and see which you like best.
