Just got everything installed....

Just got my E8400 and ip35 pro installed ad ready to go. clean install of windows and everything. Everything runs fine except the temperatures... In the abit uGuru menu it says my cpu temp is 127*C. yea....no! so i installed core temp and that gives me the right temps. why the hell does my motherboard say 127*?! i don't get it. every time i get a new motherboard something with the temperatures is always fucked!

trust coretemp and speedfan. Asus' PC Probe software tends to report incorrectly as well. Never been off that far, but usually 10*C high.

What temp is coretemp giving you? and what Heatsink are you using? I just installed my E8400 with Tuniq tower 120 and am getting over 50C under load at stock speeds, 66C under load at 4.05Ghz. Kind of concerned.

Use Speedfan for temps or even Everest. I wouldn't be too concerned with what Uguru says- sometimes temp monitoring can be fixed in later BIOS releases so you might want to check that if it bugs you.

im using a Cooler master Hyper TX2 (LINK) and coretemp is giving me 42* for Core 0 and 37* for Core 1. Pretty good for a shit ass cooler . but my mobo temp is saying 127*? i dont get it? should i reflash the bios or?

yea im mainly going to be using Everest ultimate so im not entirely worried about, just a bit annoyed that the abit cant read my temps.... i think they are working on BIOS 16 for the pro version of my board so i guess i will wait until that

I'm pretty sure that's a hardware problem with the vcore drops. Nothing in the bios that will fix it.

Just start overclocking now!

Oh yeah. Look through your bios, it's there. Adavanced bios features >>> CPU Feature.

EIST and C1E is available to turn off.
