I love you for your money. You got $2,600 you can spare for my car? 🙁

I'm sorry to hear that. Make sure your friends and family plan a good funera...a..aaahhh I mean bachelor party.

just kidding 😀 congratulations

Congrats brave soul!

5 years... I thought us being at 4 years was a long time. We're actually engaged for 2 years now... marrying in another half year. 😉

Congrats to both of you!!! Take time and savor the feeling you have right now! You're allowed to be on cloud nine!!

Congratulations! Can I ask why you waited five years?

I waited four. I know people who waited more than that. It's just about what you are comfortable with and what point in your life you are at. For us, we started dating my wifes freshman year and my Junior year. We continued dating and living together for another 4 years till I found a steady job and my wife was more than halfway through her graduate level schooling. We wanted to be financially comfortable and have at least one of us out of school before we took that big plunge.

IMHO, it's better for a couple to wait a couple extra years than it is to get married in less than a year. Oh, and we didn't have a 1.5-2 year engagements like many people do these days. I know several people who get engaged in say, Winter of 2003 and not have a wedding till late summer of 2005.
