Just got BF2

i try to log into my account and the window minimizes returning to my desktop, but the minimized window is now black and the window *thooom* error noise starts to occur and the music screws up looping over the same part and it freezes.

I believe the game is loaded with bugs last time I heard.

The only problem I ever had is with Punkbuster, but doing manual punkbuster updates usually fixed it. You should have bought BF2142. I like it a lot better than BF2. Originally, I wasn't going to buy it, but I'm glad I did.

did you install patch 1.41? BTW, also download Highway Tampa map for free (official map)

I assume you're using Vista?

BF2142 was more buggy than BF2 though. Everything that was fixed in BF2 was unfixed in BF2142, plus the included spyware.

BF2 may be a steaming pile, but it runs and thousands of people play it. Make sure you're patched, and that your video drivers are current. If that doesn't do it then post your system specs so we can get a look at it.
