The actual worst reunion ever story:

When I was 10, we visited my hick relatives in southern Hillbilly Ohio. While there, we stayed at my overall-wearing uncle's double-wide. He had a farm, and he built a pen that held the cutest, most adorable, BLUE bunnies you've ever seen. These happy hoppers had such gray fur that they looked blue in the sunlight. It was amazing! They also loved people- when I went into the pen they all hopped over to me, snuggled my legs, and did little happy dances in a circle. We played and played until the sun went down and my overall-wearing aunt made me come inside.

A couple of days later, we had our reunion party at a state park. There was a huge buffet of deep fried EVERYTHING! Fried chicken, fried, pickles, fried steaks...if it fit in a fryer, it got fried. Coincidentally, my overall-wearing cousin Todd was not seen at the reunion for some unknown reason, but I can't prove any connection.

I was piling my plate with another overall-wearing cousin, when I noticed he was grabbing a bunch of chicken wings. I love wings! So, I joined him, grabbing handfuls of drummies covered in a golden-brown peppery breading.

I sat down at a gingham covered picnic table with the least amount of bird poop on the seat, and began to chow down. In mid-chow, my overall-wearing uncle wanders up and sees my face stuffed with food.

"You like 'em legs?" he said with a semi-toothless grin.
"Um...yeah! They're pretty good!"
"You know what them are, don' ya?"

At that point, the leg bone in my mouth drooped down, barely sticking to my bottom lip. This is also the standard response to anyone suggesting you're not eating what you think you are.

"Thems those rabbits yew was rompin' with the other day. They good, ain't they?!"

That leg bone finally lost its grip on my lower lip and dropped on my plate.

"Mr. Biggles?"....

reminds me of the time being 6 years old and waking up on easter morning and seeing skinned rabbits in our oven.

LOL! I knew exactly where this was going, but enjoyed reading that at this time of the morning. Mr. Biggles made me chuckle.... :D
