just got back from shooting new guns

finally got to shoot my S&W K-22 masterpiece and sigma .40 ve after I "obtained" them in November.

k-22 is really a nice gun, very very accurate.

shooting the sigma was like spinning the arm on a jack in the box, you never know when it's going to POP!

Well, after a while though, you got used to it and it was actually a very accurate gun once you got the anxiety of pulling back so far out of it.

Either way, great guns for $0.00 (.22lr) and $249 (.40ve)

.22 = Awesome fun.

Big guns are great, but there is something to be said about spending $11 and getting enough ammo so shoot for hours.

yeah, funny thing though, wal-mart near me and a big box sports store near me were ALL out of .22LR bulk ammo and cheap small box. They said "people are buying it to get 'prepared'", I asked what that meant and the old clerk gave me a funny look.

My friend who went w/ me found some at Dicks though so I got a nice box of 525 rounds =D

the 22 is my favorite so far, glad my dad gave it to me. Wheel gunnin!

Out of the 8 handguns that I have, I still enjoy shooting my Browning Challenger .22 the most. Out to 40 or so yards, it is spot on.....

This is great for Glock owners - it's super easy to change out the upper assembly and *presto!* cheap ammo at the range, with the same trigger and handling as with the bigger bore ammo.

Nice find. I just picked up a Glock 19 today, and it would be nice to cheaply have fun at the range. A box of 500 .22 rounds are $30 or less.

forgot to note, friend had brought his .45colt Contender

that thing turned some heads at the range hahah

I love my .22. I got it last year to compliment the .380 I use (my dad's). Economical and accurate.

$1400 for both.

whoa, nice price.

ive always wanted to fire a .45/1911
i know of a buddy or two that own one, and im trying to talk one into bringing his since we want to go shooting soon.

Ammo is really hard to come by around my area as well. You can't find any 9mm anywhere, and 22 is really hard to find.

um...i'm a gun owner as well but a few things about your post scares me.

you "obtained" 2 guns. why is obtained in quotes? that makes it sound like you stole them or got them illegally.

"shooting the sigma was like spinning the arm on a jack in the box, you never know when it's going to POP!"

wtf??? a gun should fire every time you pull the trigger. there should be no surprise as to whether or when it goes off. the only time where this might be ok is if you're using old surplus ammo or something like that.

I took it to mean the trigger pull was extra long or something like that.

are they in stock though?

Anyone looking to pick up a Beretta should do so now, they have a contract starting for 500,000 units and are expected to have a civilian shortage in 2009/2010.

Cool,
I just got a Savage .17hmr
I want to go take it out and sight in the scope and take me some prairie dogs and rabbits.

edit: By got, I mean I stole it from a dead Braves hands, as anyone that says they got a gun and don't specifically mention that they purchased a gun with their Visa at so and so's store, is automatically presumed to have stolen it or obtained it through ill gotten means.

I took it to mean he doesn't know what the hell he's doing.

I was also wondering why he said "obtained" 2 guns. Sounds shady...

From a followup post, looks like his dad gave him the 22. The sigma could have been an extra cheap purchase from a friend or something or maybe he's holding onto it for someone else?

Can't wait to pick up my springfield 9mm 1911 tomorrow.

Well, my dad very shadily gave me the .22. I basically met him in a parking lot, he popped the trunk, chambered the live rounds, and had me put it in my hat so I could walk it back to my car.

The sigma I purchased for a freaking steal, I was able to use 2 instant cash coupons + bonus from my job + S&W rebate , I practically didn't even pay for it.

As far as the trigger pull goes, you need to shoot a sigma to know what I'm talking about. It's a totally different (although consistent) experience, and a jack in the box is the only thing I could compare it to when you first take it out.

So, basically, you are admitting to illegal possession of a concealed firearm.

You realize that, had you kept the firearm unloaded and simply put it into a shoebox to take it to your car's trunk you would have been 100% legal, right?

That would depend on where he lives on whether he is in possession of a CCW, wouldn't it? That, or he made a typo and meant unchambered.
