2. People dressed up like monsters from a Harry Potter book
3. Some dude's Land Rover says WALKER on it
4. Not a lot of people here speak/read English
5. Joaquin Phoenix is richer than all of us
6. Better looking than us too

did they ever get into why their "utopian" world is so crappy? Why does utopia have to suck so much in movies? Give me Brave New World, utopia in the future and kicks ass. I'm not a big fan of utopian books, but it always irks me when people think - utopia - yeah let's not have any comforts and live in the past.

Their idea was to live in a non-violent 1800's era society that they created. Near the end of the movie they had people outside of the village look at a newspaper from the real world with all the depressing news, like 7 year old missing and found dead... In their world, that stuff doesn't happen.

The only problem is that my wife is such a huge fan of M. Night, that there is no way I'm getting out of seeing this thing tonight, even if I tell her how crappy the ending is.

the hunter and gatherer lifestyle is utopian and has little technology compared to today's lfestyle. I don't agree with your comment in the slightest

I usually don't put much stock in reviews... but a couple DJ's who went to the premier were talking about it on the radio this morning, and it sounded so bad that there's no way I'd pay to see it.
