Just got back from Oshkosh WI

It was great. My first time there. Saw tons of planes, parts, vendors, and more!

We had front row seats when the Airbus A380 came in. Wow, what a piece of machinery. They also had a USAF predator drone, got to sit in a blackhawk helicopter. Just too much to see and take in. Got to see my favorite Corsairs in formation. Anyone who is into airplanes needs to see this show!

Oh yea, and the Doobie Brothers were good.

I spent two summers in Oshkosh rebuilding dorm rooms after the students trashed them. The airshow is awesome. The Harrier jump jet was the highlight for me.

Nice! I'm negotiating next year with my wife. I say two days wandering the airplanes and stuff. Would I be a liar?

Hell yeah, I saw the videos of the hard landing. Damn, they slammed this baby hard. What the hell was the pilot doing? Jerking off to the babes in the crowd?

Me, the wife, and the MIL had a great time there this year. We go to the EAA Fly In pretty much every year for 1 day. This year we watched the AB380 come in, but didn't get to see the landing. Virgin Galactic with the WhiteKnight 2 was pretty cool to see also.

Oshkosh has too many lame little planes and not enough modern military planes to keep my interest.

there's plenty of warbirds there, just not many modern ones. I love the sound of those big old radials firing up.

and it's put on by EAA, so what do you expect?

The last time I went, the U2 was there. one hell of a wingspan on that thing.

Lots of vintage warbirds, but we got to see a predator, F16s (including a thunderbird), A10 and several other jets I can't remember.

I think I saw a couple planes and helicopters that were headed there over Madison.

There was a B-17 there, right?

Yup, considering that the EAA owns one, It's a good bet it will be there. I think it's name is Aluminum Overcast.
