With a job! After two months of going to the crappiest places in the world to work (food service, macy's, best buy) and getting rejected by all of them, I walk into Infiniti today, got interviewed on the spot, and i'm now a washer :) $9.10 an hour washing infiniti's... :D :D :D :D :D :D

yeah, I could be washing old beat up honda's or something at a used dealership, but i'm washing G35's and I35's and even driving them around (i assume that's why driving license is required...)

Thought you bought a new infiniti, but jobs are good too. :) Remember to take pics of the new G35 coupe for us.

well I could be trying to sell a Macy's Express Card (been there) or flipping hamburgers for 7$ an hour, but I get to wash and drive new luxury cars instead... and get paid 1.25$ more then my friend who's been working at copelands for two years

That is a pretty cool job. I knew a guy who washed Lexus' all day. He said it was an easy job, not too tiring and he loved being around nice cars all day. Beats the hell out of being a salesmen for the summer :)

Excellent! Beats flipping burgers or jockeying a cash register at a mall store. Congrats on the job.

As long as you don't like the money the good salesmen make. ;)

I had an old roomate who was a lot boy for the Dodge dealership downtown, sounds similiar to your job, he'd wash them, move them around, even take them out for gas. Once they even let him bring home a Dodge Dakota R/T, which surprised me since he was a $7/hr employee, but it seemed like a cool job. (Especially for a car enthusiast)

Wow, someone actuallly spelled Infiniti with an i instead of a y for once! :Q

Congrats on the job, Infinit makes sweet cars. Also, I take it you're 17?

i actually don't even know what the job description is, except washing cars, and need a drivers license for some reason (i thought just driving the cars around the lot, but if it's to get gas oh man that's even better then I thought :)) The dealership girl called em "washers" when we asked if they were hiring. And yes, my sisters were like uh okay when I told them I got the job, I guess it's not as exciting as it sounds if u havent been rejected from macy's and best buy and compusa and if u aren't a car fanatic and don't nkow what a G35 is :)

I'm actally 16 but turn 17 shortly (pretty young for a incoming HS senior), and I did spell Infiniti wrong on my app but my friend spotted it before I could turn in my app, heh

I'd kill for your job. Seriously. How many hours do you get per week, though? If you get like, 5 hours a week that job sucks.

From humble beginnings...

The Auto Prepper (Jay Leno)
  • "One day, carrying an armful of hubcaps around a corner, I almost bumped into our new general manager. Startled, I dropped them all. He fired me on the spot.

I was too ashamed to tell my parents. Every day for about two weeks, I stayed busy until evening. Then I would go home and say I had a great day at work.

Desperate, I wrote a letter to Henry Ford II and told him what happened. I said that we were a loyal Ford family and that when I was old enough, I was going to buy a Mustang. Eventually the owner of the dealership called. 'I don't know who you know in Detroit,' he said, 'but if you want your job back, you got it.'

Later, during college, I wanted to work at a Rolls-Royce dealership, but the owner said there were no openings. So I started washing cars there anyway. When the owner noticed me, I said I was working until he hired me. He did.

It takes persistence to succeed. Attitude also matters. I have never thought I was better than anyone else, but I have always believed I couldn't be outworked."

I would think washing Infiniti could take forever... at least on a conceptual or philoshophical level. ;)

haha I hope i get more then 5 hours a week... I'm pretty sure we are the only two washers now that the other ones have graduated and I don't think we can wash/polish/wax or whatever a bunch of infiniti's in 5 hours a week, and if he does expect that then uh oh...
