I at least need something to protect my screen as I plan to watch videos on it and don't want it to be all scratched up. Do this static covers that just cover the screen work good? Would you recommend a hard case? A neoprene sleeve? I want something rather thin but am most interested in protecting the screen....not horrible concerened about scratching the back or anything.

whoops:eek:

if all you are worried about is scratches there are these new types of screen covers that are just a little porous to prevent it from slipping out of your hand. Since it has an HD, I would buy one of the plastic shell cases in case it falls since death is certain if it does.

I guess I sort of tried to save my ass there and didn't offer any good advice..

A screen protector? Really I don't believe in "shielding" ipods as it's just preventing the inevitable.

iSkin makes a great case for my 5G iPod, so I can imagine the case for the Classic is equally as good.

the invisible shield is good, and comes with a lifetime warranty for exchanges so you get unlimited replacements. Plus it doesn't add barely any bulk at all to the ipod and makes it glossy looking :p

thanks everyone for the suggestions. I don't think I want to add much bulk to it. Ultimately I'd like 2 things. One very thin to protect the screen/case from scratches. And then maybe 1 large plastic/neoprene sleeve to give it a little more protection on long trips and such.
