then go to downloads, but specify an N56vz as your notebook. Under wireless, there will be two software packs to choose from Intel and Atheros. Download the Atheros update manually, then unzip and run it. I tried using Asus Update several times and it always hung during the wireless adapter update, not telling me it never got done.

I love so many attributes of my Asus N56. I'm hoping this update fixes the problems. So far, so good...

Thanks for the advice. I updated it with the driver from n56vz but I still get a maximum speed of 65mbps. This is so frustrating. I have read in another forum that updating to an older version of the driver would work. Would any one knows where I can get the older versions of the drivers for the atheros driver? Thanks
