Just got a VX Revolution

Stopped at my local Best Buy and got the VX Revolution for 40 bucks. Pretty happy about that. Just wanted to ask those that had the MX and VX Revolution what they thought about their mice and any tips or tricks about it. THanks all I hope this works out better than my Trackball.

I have a VX Revolution thrown in my laptop backpack for use on the road. I'm actually thinking about going out to buy two or three more, just to keep as spares, for when my current mice inevitably die. I forgot that Best Buy is running a sale on them this week... /me makes note to go to Best Buy this afternoon.

While it will work without the Logitech Software installed, I personally do prefer having it installed, because that allows me to control what the buttons do. I honestly can't remember which customizations I made, but I did change a few things on my laptop's VX profile.

Good luck, and let us know what you think of it. 🙂

I've looked at the VX Nano, but I think that I prefer the size of the VX Revolution. Its USB dongle fits inside the mouse when it's not being used, and it's large enough that I'm not going to attach it to a USB port and then forgot that I put it there.

I have the VX Nano and it is terrific for travelling. Am presently cruising up the Mississippi connected via Sprint connection card. Anyway - Nano for me is just the right size for packing on the road. Bigger is not better unless you have a ham hand. Check the tiny transmitter.

I don't know if I'd stick my laptop in my bag with that usb connector. It still sticks out a decent amount. Why oh why can't there be more bluetooth mice?!?!

I use my VX Rev on my desktop sometimes... I prefer it more than my usual MX 1000. That said, there is a USB hub very close to my mousing area... I have no idea what the actual maximum range is, as I'm always right beside the dongle (within 3 ft or so).
