Picked up the amazon PS Vita walking dead bundle. I've been on the fence for a while but pulled the trigger. Now the hard part: Selling it to my wife.

I'm going to basically "give" it to her. In order to do that I need to get her games that she will enjoy. Her favorite all time game was dawn of discovery on the nintendo ds lite. She also plays megopolis and candy crush on her phone like freaking crazy.

Any recommendations? I'm on the fence about persona 4 (for me and/or her) but I don't know if I can get past that high school theme.

Once you play Persona 4 and really dig into the story...it's full of twists, suspense, comedy, mystery, and generally is everything a video game story should have. It also makes you choose your time wisely and every action has a consequence because you can really only do one major event per game day. You have a limited time in which to complete the current mission or it's game over. I almost forgot the characters were high schoolers and they could have been just random people building friendship through every day life while trying to solve a serial murder case.

This actually makes it sound more interesting than I thought. I have to assume the game is a masterpiece based on all the praise it's getting. Then again I bought Ni No Kuni based on the same praise and that game did nothing for me. I was really hoping for another Chrono Trigger type of experience out of it.

Persona 4 also allows you to gain different "persona" which are like monsters you use to fight for you. You can gather cards that allow you to summon them and use those to fuse multiple persona together to make stronger ones. You can also transfer special abilities this way and have your new persona learn some of the moves the previous ones had.

Sonic All-Star Racing Transformed is one of the free games this month for PlayStation Plus:

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/11/28/playstation-plus-december-preview/

I don't know if she enjoys cart racing, but I bet she likes free. :p

Lumines Electronic Symphony.

I'd like to say that you can't go wrong with Lumines, but I might be a bit biased as I'm a bit of a fan of the series. :p There's a demo for the game on the PlayStation Store:

I think lumines is going to be the game that makes everything okay.

I started playing the Walking dead game on it (I had been skipping it) and it is great.

Also get Playstation Plus and download Uncharted.

I haven't had a chance to play Muramasa but I am going to fire it up this weekend.

Really enjoy my Vita. Tearaway is probably your best bet because it's "cutesy" but makes good use of the Vita. Unfortunately it's brand new so it's a little pricey right now.

I've spent most of my time playing the Zen Pinball 2 tables on the vita. They're great and IMO the vita is one of the better ways to play such a game.

The beauty of No no Kuni is its simplicity. Just an old school simple tragic heart warming story without all the bloat and "trying too hard to innovate" baggage that plagues todays JRPG attempts.

PS it you want a Chrono Trigger experience look no further than Radiant Historia on DS.

Do you guys have any recommendations for older must play games that may have been for the ps1 or ps2 or whatever that can be played on the vita? I'm into Castlevania and I heard I can play some of those like symphony of the night on the vita.

doesn't god of war have some rerelease for vita or a PSP game that will work? I'll have to verify that.

There is an upcoming release of God of War 1 and 2 for the Vita within the next few months.

Yep. Other than just Vita PSN games, the Vita can play PSOne and PSP games from the PSN Store.

I still never played one title in that series...hear people talk about it a lot too.

It has some minor RPG elements to it with upgradeable stats, so it's kind of fun. And it has a lot of goofy rules for tournament wins sometimes, it will randomly throw in "Tiny cup" or "Large cup" for the whole tournament, where the hole size is affected. Or it will say win without using any spin, etc.

I love the hotshot golf series. And played the last 3 game released quite a bit.

The graphics are cutesy, anime styled graphics, but (in spite of that?) the game can be quite deep.
