I bought an Acer 3680 notebook at Circuit City and noted a couple of things that make me wonder if I got a refurb somehow... first, there was this blue dot sticker on the outer box, underneath the sticker/label with the shipping to/from info on it. I've seen colored stickers on other products before and sometimes it would mean refurb. I don't know if this is the case here as well or not.. the box looked sealed and never opened and everything looks fine..
the second thing i noticed was my hard drive is a Western Digital WD800BEVS-22RST0, but when i search this on google, I get relatively few useful hits. On a couple of sites, this pulls up specs for the unit but also mentions refurb.. so the sites could be selling these as refurbs or this particular model number followed by 22RST0 means refurb? when i simply search WD800BEVS, alot more comes up...
Anyway, does anyone know what these blue dot stickers mean? and do you think the drive is a refurb too? thanks in advance.. i will return if it is a refurb...
