Just got a Nintendo DS....

So I just beat the New Super Mario Brothers game and I haven't had that much fun on a hand-held platform, ever. I do have a problem though....

I know one of the perks of the DS is the dual panel w/touch screen...but I much prefer a standard platforming game that makes use of the buttons, more so than the stylus. Are there any other games worth picking up out there? I've played Mario & Luigi Time, Yoshi's Island, etc...but nothing was as captivating as the NSMB.

Any suggestions?

Castlevania (there are 3 games on DS, all 3 are good, Order of Ecclesia is the hardest one, Dawn of Sorrow is my personal favorite) is the definitive DS killer app, go get it now.

Contra 4, Mario Kart DS, Trauma Center (2 games), Professor Layton, Ace Attorney (4 games), Elite Beat Agents, N+ (you can try the free flash version online), Pokemon Diamond, Space Invaders Extreme, Tetris DS.

Those are some of my personal favorites (Castlevania (series) and Ace Attorney (series) are my favorite DS games overall). I can't think of any other good platformers besides N+ and Kirby Super Star Ultra, maybe Megaman ZX though that's more an action game really.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is quite good. It's very similar to Zelda DS. Check out Metal Slug if you want challenging plateform shooter. It looks way better than Contra 4.

I second the Castlevanias (the first requires a little bit of stylus, but other two do not) and Kirby Super Star for platformers.

Kirby Canvas Curse is cool but stylus-only.

I'm enjoying Kirby Super Star the most now....that's what I was looking for. I'll have to pickup the MegaMan and Castlevania games next time.

I dunnos but that would be super duper. I almost busted out my old SNES to play Super Mario World again.....I can't believe I'm choosing this game over Gears of War 2.
