youre supposed to get the extra pay, even if it doesnt bother you to work the extra hours.

Someone who wants the money? Look at it this way - the guy doesn't want to pay ThePresence $22.50 an hour, he wants to pay him $15 an hour. If he has to pay him time and a half, he'll limit him to 40 hours and hire another guy to pick up the slack. Or he'll drop him to $13 an hour so it averages out to $15 an hour in the end. But the guy's only going to pay what he's willing to pay for the job, as long as he can find someone willing to do the work for that rate. And I have no doubt he'd find someone else willing to work for $15 an hour.

Just got a temporary job at a factory, running a crew on the shop floor. $15/hour, and they work 24 hours (night and day shifts). They told me I can work as many hours as I want for this month. So I can work like an animal and make some serious dough this month. Oh, and I can work Sundays too!

I haven't read a single post other than your initial one. So, I will say:

Congratulations!!! That is good money in this day and age, plus, you've said they've already offered all the overtime your body can handle.

It seems that you're very excited and happy about it; I am happy for you. :)

It has been 12 years since I was last fired/laid off/unemployed; I have not forgotten what it is like to have no money for rent/bills/food. It's the worst feeling in the world.

Best of luck; I hope it works out for you completely and for a long time.

Thanks MichaelD, but I hope it does not work out for a long time, this is not what I want to do with my life. I can get higher paying jobs, but I'm not in the mood to sit in an office all day right now. I'm doing this because I know it's only for a month.
