Just Got a New Truck (pics coming)

So I go car buying...my 1999 Ford Ranger SuperCab was solid until someone ran into it while parked on the night of the 24 November. Since it was totaled and the insurance company decided to give me more than I originally paid for it used, I figured I'd go car hunting...I managed to talk down a $17800 2002 Ford Ranger Supercab (Edge package) down to $12000 total (tax, tags, ect.) It has only 25K on it (still has 11K under warranty) and has a clean Carfax record. I need to get a bedliner for it, but so far everything in it looks ok...I don't know if I should have bought the XLT package...the car place folks got pushy and I just said "$12000 or I leave" and they sold me the damn thing. Oh well, I needed a truck, guess I have one now.

Congrats on the truck. The 2002 is pretty much the same as the 1999, and still the same as it was back in like 96. They're hella cheap now but they're old and outdated, unfortunately. They're about to (if they haven't already) lose the compact pickup truck title to Toyota I think it was

True...but I can't afford a Tacoma. This one has the four door option. My other Ranger was two door and it was a bitch getting things in and out of the cab.

I wasn't saying get the Toyota, I like the Ranger and all, it's just kinda old and ignored by Ford, unfortunately. Ford doesn't think there's enough "profit" to bother redoing it right now
