just got a mp3 player

went out yesterday an purchased the D-link DMP110, for 89$ at Bestbuy. It only comes with 32 mb internal flash memory so i also purchased a 32 mb smart media card card to go with it. Have to say am very happy, it was at least 60$ cheaper than all the other players and it works great!

If you wanted to buy one earlier, you coulda got a rio 500 for free after rebate and cd burner sale. It was 149 at compusa. selling the burner and the getting the rebate on the rio, would been roughly free.

Is the d-link a better player? or did you just miss the rio deal?

missed rio deal, hard to say if d-link is better since it has less features (no fm tuner or presets, voice recording etc.) they both come with 32 mb standard and both are upgradable. The rio was about 60 dollars more than the d-link at best buy.

nope, Rio comes standard with 32mb, also i needed the mp3 player for jogging so disk players were out of the question.

Rio 500 comes with 64 mb, and can take another 64 mb smartmedia card. I think its the rio 600 that comes with 32 mb

i think the rio500 looks a lot better than the 600. it has a much cleaner and simple look to it than the 600.

rio800 = 64MB or 128MB

I like the look of my RIO500. the others are too retro-style for me.

I've got a Nomad II 64MB and its better than that rio schmio, better lcd and more features than rio 500, and better looking and doesn't need the stupid memory packs of the 600 and 800. But ALL MP3 players pale in comparison to my new Sony MZ-R900 MD 😀
