just don't burn your legs. and if you do check out all the posts around the web about them globbing too much heatsink compound on it. i'm hoping apple issues a service bulletin about this, from everything i've read when it's properly applied the heat drop is quite a difference.

If it does, tell Apple and they'll replace it. Earlier MBP revisions had heat issues and they were glad to issue replacements.

look around a bit, it's not so much earlier revisions. they were slopping on heatsink goo by the pound. even has a pic from the service manual showing them putting a whole container on per chip (gpu cpu and i guess northbridge). something awful is even being threatened by apple for having parts of the service manual on their site. some guys have fixed it themselves and seen a huge temp drop in their machines.

Right on  Got my wife the 20" iMac in Feb and haven't had any problems to date. Rev D. of the MBP is the latest from what I've heard, so you should be all set :) Add me to the jealous list!

Is this your first laptop? A guy at work has the Macbook, and didn't see anything special about the display. That being said, it's a sweet laptop. I sold my ibook in anticipation there was going to be a 13" Macbook... when they finally release one, i'm definitely going to pick it up.

No, I had a Thinkpad T43, which I have to clean out and sell this week or next week. This display is as bright as most desktop displays. It's just really really nice when really bright.
