Why would they pay for your tuition? What are you taking?

Anyways, i have heard the pay and benefits for HD is great, but never heard of them paying for tuition before.

i've always known they paid for tuition (though i dont know why), but i was fortunate to get this job because my friend is friends with teh store owner, and i was also fortunate that the owner really likes me. they actually pay for tuition if u are a business major (thats what he says), like me, so as long as i work for them, they will pay for all my tuition. i dont know the exact specifics, but i will soon enuff. what's also awesome is taht i intend to get my mba also, so waaay tight!

Whoa $13/hr plus tutition? You only have to work part time right? Sure beats the heck out of my job, what exactly is it that you do anyhow?

How is it that you're STARTING at $13/hour? Just because you knew the owner?

i dont know the owner. my friend does. actually, typical starting pay is $15 for those who have previous work experience and are really good w/ the junk inside home depot. i'm young, no previous work experience, and am not exactly the best with home supplies. therefore, i get paid the low $13 an hour. 🙂

Low???

Still, it's a desk job, that's good! I wonder if Lowe's has a similar position.

heard that HD doesnt offer employee discounts, though they give away coupons occasionally

We get stock discounts

and how the hell are you starting at 13 an hour?

I know a certified electrician and those with plumbing backgrounds that work part-time there about 10-11ish

California is like another country...that's why the pay is so good. I imagine working in CA at $13 an hour is still worse than making $10-11 in NC.
