Circuit City had a pretty good deal where you got that pearl white SP with Metroid for $79. I bought the NES edition one at Hastings after Thanksgiving. Don't know if there are still any deals for one.
 
The SP is great, I hope Nintendo doesn't totally abandon the idea of having a nice portable system that easily fits into your pocket. The NDS is quite the monster.
