Just Got a Credit Line Increase

yea, Im happy, I just got approved for a credit line increase on my Bank of America card.

It was previously a limit of $3000, I got a CLI of $4000, giving me a total credit line of $7000.

my current balance:

$0 Dollars

credit limit doesnt mean anything. i have a credit limit of 14000 and my income is only half that at best a month

yea, but it helps my credit score.


7000 dollar limit with 0 balance is better than 3000 dollar limit with 0 balance

well, i can afford an SRT-4

but if I get more money down, and some good interest rate I could possibly get an Evolution 8.

yes, it does mean a lot.

having a higher limit decreases your balance/credit limit ratio.

which is good for having a say calculating credit score

I agree in that sense, but in terms of actual real world function, again, for emergencies only. My scores are around 720.

nah, i use it when I have the money on hand.

For example I bought my 7800gt with the card, and scheduled an online payment for that night.

I'm sorry, what are we talking about here? BofA bumped up your credit line on a credit card? If so, I don't understand what that has to do with your upcoming car purchase.

umm, BoA increasing my line has a positive effect on my credit.

Therefore, having better credit has an effect on my car purchase
