Just got a Canon i960

Canon makes some great printers, but I hear the ink fades pretty fast if you don't keep your pictures framed.

I have a picture printed on Canon paper, Canon ink, and an i850 that has been on my refridge for over a year and no fading whatsoever...
 
Love my i960 🙂
I have no problems with ink fading. I keep my pictures in an album, not framed. I also have a couple pictures that are just laying around. No problem either.

Love my i860 too....and my A80. 🙂

I was going to get an i960 but Best Buy was out of stock. The Canon Sales guy at Best Buy said I would be hard pressed to find a i960 printer now as they were making way for the new Canon printer line. Well guess what? I see the i960s all over the place now. Freakin' liar! :|

I think there were a couple of deals posted in the hot deals forum.
I got mine from staples for 199.00 + tax - $30 coupon - $40 staples gift card. so I got it for around the same price.
 
There are no fading problems as long as you use Canon Photo Paper Pro. I have a few pictures printed on my s830D using Canon photo paper plus and they have faded away.

It was on sale for $169.98 and I used the $30 of $150 coupon that was floating around. It expired on the 16th though. I got it for $139.98 plus tax.
 
I have an i850 and love it. So much better than the epsons I have used (1200, 860, 880). I'm lusting after the large format i9100 which seems to be coming down in price of late.
 
I`ve the new Canon i865 printer which you can`t get in the US,awesome printer,worth every penny 🙂.
 
Looking to get a canon today. Im not seeing the differences between 560, 860, 960 models... can somebody please explain?

The main difference is the ink carts.

560 has black,cyan,yellow,magenta(4 ink based printer)

860 has black for text,black for photo and the usual cyan,magneta and yellow ink carts(5 ink based printer).

960 is has black,yellow,cyan,magneta,photo cyan,photo magneta(6 ink based printer).


960 is more for professional colour printing.
