Just got a bunny.

I had a bunny once when I was a kid. It was brown and I took pretty good care of it too. Then, one day I walked into the kitchen to the scene of my mom hitting my rabbit on the head with a big knife. The first blow didn't kill the rabbit, she just twitched violently. I still remember the metal basin my mom had on the floor beneath the rabbit to catch the blood as she killed it. It took two more blows to the head before the rabbit would stop moving. I left the kitchen at that point, so didn't get to see the subsequent skinning and dismembering of my pet rabbit as my mom made dinner. That day taught me two things: Don't get attached to anything and don't keep pets or they might end up eaten.

that was cold...frankly, I'm shocked she did that. It would seem to me that
(1)don't eat your kid's pets and
(2) don't let your kids become emotionally attached to something you're going to eat,
would be pretty obvious to a parent.

I am sure your mom cooked your pet.... Riggt. I go rabbit hunting frequently, but a stale stagnant bunnie living in captivity=NASTY MEAT
