My 2 lost Win Xp CDs there both cracked but thanks to paper the keys are still there. What do I do ??


Can I get 2 new cds??

if you call Microsoft they might actually send you a new CD without keys.....you only need 1 CD, just different keys.

one is an Upgrade and the other is oem Home edition

If either of these are installed, you can go into your hard drive and search for the i386 file. Burn that. :)

It is legal to backup software you have legitimately purchased, as long as you are only using one instance of the installation.

Sure the cracked cd's won't run. Some my audio cd's have.

dude these cds were lost for 2 years lol Like I care I got Pro now but wanted to see if I can get something for free. They should make cds out of metal

download a oem XP iso from a torrent site and use your legitimate key, since you are using a legitimate key I dont see any moral issues doing it this way, then again my morals are pretty low :)

Can you use a friends OEM disc and use your key?

How badly are they cracked? If the cracks are small enough, maybe you can make a copy with Nero. In the read options, there's a place to limit the read speed. Keep it really low, and they might survive.
