Worst episode ever, I wanted to stop watching but only watched it to the end hoping that it would get better. It really sucked, not funny at all. I don't know if it was a new one but after the one last Sunday, I was really suprised.

No, don't get me wrong, some Simpsons are still really funny it's just the quality seems to be going up and down. Last Sundays was really funny then you get an episode like tonights that really throws you off.

True...that episode where he has the repressed memory was *awful* 😕
 
You didn't like the repressed memory episode? With such classic quotes as...

Carl:"I think I just logged onto my internet." [Internet referring to the mesh in his shorts. hehe mesh]
Lenny:"I'm shaking like a French soldier."

It wasn't great but its better than a lot of episodes this season. The new one tonight wasn't too funny, the only bright spots were and always will be Ralph.

But Conan left a long time ago. His best episodes were the monorail episode and the one where Homer becomes Union boss I think...

Seems like the Simpsons gets worse every week. I don't even go out of my way to watch it anymore or even care if I miss it.
 
I agree the show is no longer at its best, but it is still the best comedy on TV - people are really spoiled! This week's episode was nothing special but it had its moments, and most episodes are still very good IMO.

If you don't watch it how do you know it gets worse every week?

The worst Simpsons is still a hell of alot better than most shows out there.
 
First they made the Simpsons
Then they made Futurama and Simpsons was still great
Then they made Family Guy and Simpsons and Futurama was still great
Then they have three shows all great
Then they cancel Family guy while Futurama is better than ever and Simpsons starting to go a little down
Then they cancel Futurama and Simpsons is starting to get alot worse


Damn Fox and their brilliant ideas and their stupid cancel-every-good-show-we-have plan :|
 
I thought the cowboy one was horrible, so bad that i was watching unforgiven on TBS. The repressed memory one was funny though.

The simpsons have been going downhill like the past 3 years! The past few Halloween episodes were whack! But the first few were awesome though.
 
i find myself watching the jamie kennedy experiment nowadays. that show rules.

last night he took a field trip to bob saget's house, and after looking at all his weird possessions bob saget came home. it was hilarious.
 
Everyone likes to bash the Simpsons nowadays, but even if the show is no longer in its heyday, it's still funnier than 99% of the other shows out there. It still pulls in consistently good ratings, too.
 
Simpsons suck, plain and simple!

Earlier, I watched every single episode. I taped them and watched them again! As time went on, I stopped taping them, they just weren't good anymore. Then I stopped watching it, it just wasted 30 minutes of my life. Basically, Simpsons weren't funny anymore. It tried to be funny, but it failed. Miserably. And less funny the show got, more they tried to cover it up by making Homer more and more stupid. That drove the quality of the show down further, since they started to resort to cheap humour.

They should have stopped making the show when they were at the peak of their quality. Now, they just keep on beating a dead horse. The whole thing has a bad taste in my mouth.
