Just finished taking my Physics PhD Qualification Exam!!

3 days of test, 4 hours per day
Graduate level physics includes (in this order)
- Half a year of Statistical Mechanics
- Half a year of a Classical Mechanics
- Full year of Quantum Mechanics
- Full year of Electromagnetism (all Jackson E&M topics through relativistic E&M)

It's typically 4 hours per year of material, so today was four hours of E&M
I think I've passed, but I won't find out until next Thursday. I totally ruled the E&M exam today.

I've had 8 beers between 4:00PM (when the test ended) and 7:00MPM (now)

My E&M professor actually had Jackson when when he was a grad student, so he has some interesting stories. There's a good picture out there on the internet of Jackson that makes him look like a meth head
