The install CD has a ton of bloatware, installed third party ethernet over PPP program, now I am happy:).

Yea, i played around with that software. Then I realized that XP had builtin stuff that takes care of that.
You have no idea how much I hate SBC DSL too, I had to set it up for my dad and b/c they suck it took me 20+ hours.

Amen on that - SBC yahoo DSL softwares took me some time to remove - I had a SBC Pacific Bell DSL (now they're just SBC anyway) and the speeds were great compared to what I'm having now (better download speed, less my current upload though) - but I didn't need all that crappy SBC software installed since I was only using the Linksys Router for the PPPoE connection (and Win XP too) - With the SBC software, my system would wake up on lan once in a while from soft power off, which was annoying! With the bloatware removed, now i have nothing to worry about. I'm not going to install their softwares again if I ever come back to SBC's DSL services, but just to use the LInksys as a PPPoE authenication connection. Thank god for CenturyTel.
