Just finished reading Dan Browns The Davinci Code.

I have searched for some info on this book here and I know itcan be the cause of some heated debates. Some like it, others don't, some like it, but don't like its inaccuracy. I don't want to get the board in a big debate over it, its been done already. I will say I loved the book. There was suspense at every turn of the page. It made me not want to put it down. I wasn't worried about its accuracy. I wasn't reading it to learn more about the Holy Grail. I was reading it to entertain myself, and it did a fine job of this.

So I am wondering if any of Dan Browns other books are any good. I am considering Digital Fortress, as it looks like an area I may be interested in. Again even though I may know abotu this area, then I did of the area of the davinci code, I will not be reading it for its accuracy. So if it is again an inaccurate book, thats fine you can mention that. But what i want to know is if it will keep me wanting to read more. Is it interesting? What about his other books, thanks

Of course, my sorting might be off because of the order in which I read them.

edit: the fact that I read them all (on airplanes, granted) does suggest that I am using a bit of hyperbole Digital fortress did *seriously* suck - worse than a bad Johnathan Kellerman book, and deception point was very fast paced/action intensive and so was actually a good read in that respect.

I just started reading Deception Point last night as a matter of fact. I didn't read Da Vinci Code, but heard good and bad things about it. My dad recommended this to me and said it's decent so I'm giving it a try.

DaVinci code was not that good. Only thing that kept me was interesting facts/stories.

The main story didnt make sense at many points nor was it well written.

just my opinion however.

now, Pokemon has a good story. Pitting creatures to battle each other for no good reason.

Also I was reading some of the reviews of it at amazon and epinions, and it does get many positives, but also many many negatives. Mainly due to inaccuracy, apparently he failed in his explination of binary numbers.

My fault guys, I thought you were reffering to me not seperating the Da from the Vinci. I now realize I actualy did spell it wrong by including an h. I appologize.

If you are reading for pure entertainment, I suggest you read Nelson DeMille. One of the most entertaining authors I have ever read. I have all his books. He's the only guy that can make me laugh aloud from a novel. It's happened. People on the plane thought I was nuts.

Angels and Demons was good. I actually liked it alot better than De Vinci Code. But I've found that which ever of the 2 you read first is the one you like better.

I did read Night Falls by DeMille. It was excellant, starte doff slow, but at about half way it was hard to put down. A little too predictable for me though. I knew how it was gonna end after baout the first 2 chapters, and the actual plot twists were a bit to easy to figure out. But I will give you that DeMille does have a good sense of humor. What else doe she got thats any good.

Word of Honor is AWESOME. They killed it as a TNT movie.
The Charm School is great.
Up Country is great and really funny at times.
Plum Island, Gold Coast, Lion's Game, Cathedral, they're all great.
