I give it a generous 6 out of 10...I'd recommend people get it if it was in the bargain bin in a couple of years for $15 or under. Running and jumping around is always fun in PoP games but the combat is really dull (luckily there's not much of it anyways) the story is boring also. It's all about the scenery and running/jumping from place to place though (which is what PoP should be about...so that's a good thing). It's impossible to die at any point in the game :p...so you could see how that might be. Not enough to put it above any of the other PoP games. It's an average game...not bad and not great.

My fav of the original Trilogy was Two Thrones, loved those wall spring boards. Never felt quite the same rush with the new PoP.

Worth about $15. A movie doesn't cost much less than that and this lasts several times longer.

Can you really die in ANY game? Ever?

The only one I can think of is Diablo II on Hardcore.

To elaborate a bit, the no-die thing contributed to the lack of challenge, but wasn't the main reason. I didn't feel any acrobatic section was challenging the way prior PoP games were. I very rarely felt any sense of accomplishment using the magic plates, and there were very few long wall run/jump sequences. I remember in PoP:TT there were lots of run/wall jump/swing parts where you are airborne for a very long time and when you finally touch down you let your breath out and feel a bit amazed with yourself. Never felt like that in this one.

I have the PS3 version.. and I like it so far. Im afraid I am lost though. Im a little confused on where to go, and where I have been. I enjoy it when I was playing, but now Im not sure where to go, and havent played in a while.

You can't get lost. Click "select", highlight a location and have Elika fire off a ball o' magic in that direction. Follow the magic ball. Healed lands status is indicated on the same screen.

The PC version might be a little more difficult with the keyboard/mouse combo, but the PS3 version was the easiest game I've played in several years. My non-gaming sister was visiting me and declared it too easy after 30 minutes or so. If you're having difficulty with a sequence, then you're probably trying a path that doesn't exist in the first place or you might be late on your button presses.

Saying you have to start again from a checkpoint when you fall is true, but somewhat misleading. Most every solid piece of ground is a checkpoint.

I used my PS2 controller when I played the PC version and it worked out perfectly.

I think this would be a perfect game to get people who never play video games to get into them again. You can't die...fighting is very simple, and running/jumping around is always fun.

I'm stuck like an idiot, in a place where you have to jump from one place to 10 other places in one run. I've tried so many times to pass over that, but it seems that every time I try and fail, I get very annoyed and crazy, so I punch the keyboard and other stuff that's on my desk. And when this happens, I just have to exit the game, because other persons from my home, are freaking out.
But it's a great game indeed. :)
Which part? The only major problem I had at first was setting the rules for object/construct/landing interaction. Once you learn the rule = new button press + hold for new object/construct only, then you should be fine. Rings gave me the most problems until I got this down solidly.

I'm at the Royal Spire and I have to jump from one magic ring to another until I reach a pillar and from there, no matter where I jump I just fall or I'm eaten by the evil, even with the extra jump help from Elika.
You may be at a point in the game. when you need to use the rings on the roof above or on a wall? It was B on the 360 controller I think.
