i just finished building a computer for my friend with a mobile 2400+ and nf7. so far, so good. i havent had any problems AT ALL yet and i have it clocked at 2400MHz with 12 x 200. as of now, its stable and i'm currently running prime95 on it. woohoo! wuts suprising is that my friend paid only $480 total on a case w/ psu, mobo, cpu, ram, speakers, radeon 9600, and etc.

Not as crappy as a double post :p. Try lowering the voltage a bit and see if it's still stable.

oh, its perfectly stable so far. its been on prime95 for 2.5 hours now, and no problems as of yet. once i finish priming the comp, i have one more test to make on it. a game test. i wanna make sure it does well on its purpose. :) i'll try dling a UT2k4 demo and seeing how well it runs.

He said try LOWERING the voltage and checking for stability... no need to run it on 1.75 volts if it's stable at the same speed at 1.65

And if it's stable around 1.65, pump it up to 2.5 and see what she can do.. If you can't do it on 1.65V try 1.75 then..

I would keep it under or @ 1.8 for a max.

i dont wanna overclock it too high because the person i'm selling the comp to is really, really computer stupid. i'm suprised i'm even selling him an overclocked comp, but ya, its stable.

ram was ocz ddr pc3200, mobo was plain abit nf7 (since he doesnt use sata and the other stuff that comes with nf7-s), and the case was some cheap $45 case at newegg with 430W psu. the only drawback of this whole system was the psu. if he had a better psu, i could oc it much better. i had to reduce the oc to 2.2GHz now since the psu that comes with the case sux. i'll have him get a new antec psu later so i could bring the oc back up to 2.4 or even 2.5GHz.
