JUST e-filed taxes

Shocked that I got a small amount in refund this year. That is why I always wait until the last minute because I HATE writing the check.

Oh yeah, first year I had the horror of the dreaded AMT. Should've had a few more thousand my way.

I filed my taxes three weeks ago. The feds gave me a refund credit to my checking account within three days.

Unfortunately, most of that was spent today paying state income taxes...

I owed about $1000 total. I was expecting a small refund, but I'd forgotten that I had sold some stock last year. Oh well.

I bought a house last year, so I took advantage of the sizeable interest free loan they offered me as a refundable tax credit.

We are getting a refund but I don't know if we'll see it any time soon. We still haven't gotten our stimulus or refund from last year because the IRS claims we have a zero basis on some stocks we sold even though we have clearly demonstrated 4 times that they are wrong.

You shouldn't wait until the last minute to do your taxes....to file, yes; if you owe

Meh. I claim Single/2 all year (I'm married/1 come filing time) so I get more money in every paycheck as opposed to a big refund (i.e. interest free loan for the Gov!) at the end of the year.

I got back about 1,100 and paid off a CC with it. I've since rung the CC back up to where it was before. :frown:

Oh...I filed my taxes the third week of Jan, got my refund the fourth week of Jan and spent it that day. My tax drama is over 'til next year. 😛
