So I decided to buy a new one since I broke my old MacBook by dropping it on to our tile floor. When I got their I decided hell why not get the pro. :)

Why in the world would anyone buy a mac? Especially for that price. I really must be missing something.

but OSX is so great, until you try to interface it with a windows network or do much of anything beyond photoshop or cruise the internet on their exploit ridden browser(safari).

Can I have your keyboard/top case from your broken MB? Mine just fried. That makes a motherboard, fan, hard drive, and now keyboard/top case that have died in this MacBook. Apple sure does use some quality hardware.

I got a mac since it lets me have the best of both worlds. I am running Vista on it now. Also I like the design. Well worth the price, also no payments for 3 Months. YAY.

Vista and Mac hardware is the best of both worlds these days?

Wow, I must be behind the times.

$2400 Mac Book Pro? Psssh, I only buy $4000+ laptops, just like I only stay in $500+/night hotels.

I will say this, my old macbook had issues with the case cracking on the edge. I know others with macbooks and most of them had the same issue. This is a known issue. I hope the pro is built better so it won't suffer from this.

Could probably get a comparable PC-based notebook for just over half that.

Yeah, he kind of lost me at Vista. I can't take any part of that post seriously now. If he thinks Vista is good I can only imagine how shitty the hardware side is.

Still way overpriced. What's your interest rate on the $2400 loan?

That can actually be a smart thing if you've got a credit card with 0% interest rate for as long as you'll take to pay it off. Of course, I'm pretty certain that does not apply to the OP. I wouldn't knock someone for that though, $2400 isn't exactly chump change even for well to do people.

Around 13%, but if I dont pay it all off at the end of the 3rd month I will be charged Interest since the time of purchase. So the whole thing needs to be paid off at the end of the 3rd month.
