just dropped my phone, part of lcd is now black...think i could get insurance for it and then replaced?

crap i'm pissed...i just dropped my phone from about 3 feet in height onto my hardwood floors...it rattled around a bit...and when i picked it up to look at the screen there's a black stripe! i figure the lcd cracked.

my question is...do you think i could get the insurance for it...and wait like a month or two ...and tell them that my phone broke?

btw i have att and it was a nokia 3560.

i think this might just give me reason to buy/change to a gsm plan/phone now...it just amazes me...cuz i've had this phone lil more than 5 months...and this was only the second time i dropped it

as for ethics...i'm sure there are ppl far worse....devious plots from prior black fridays come to mind
