My laptop only has a 20 GB hard drive. That's plenty. I have a computer with a 4 GB hard drive in it. Plenty for what I use it for. Really, unless you have a lot of digital media files (audio/video), 20 GB is sufficient.

My system only has 30gb and I do fine. Granted, it's old enough that I can't run next gen games that take up 5+ gb anyway. :p But as has been said, unless you're storing media on your computer it's plenty of space.

I use a 20GB as a main drive on this computer. Works fine, although a much larger drive would be very useful.

Nature abhors a vacuum. Put a 1TB drive in any rig and it will start sucking everything in the universe into it.

It survived because when you only had 20 gigs, you weren't trying to download like a damn fool.

Rastus hit the nail on the head though; the more storage you have, the more stuff you seem to save. It's as inevitable as the tides.

I just did a fresh install and installed the basics and COD2. Text

I remember when I thought my 8gig HD was the shiz and it was before 5gig+ game installs came along. :p

My first computer had a 120MB, yes MB drive. And that wasn't that long ago. When I went to college, I spent a bundle on a Quantum 6GB Bigfoot drive.

I still have servers with a total of 20 GB of hard drive space at work. You would be amazed how long that will last if you're only dealing with web pages and small images.

Besides, my first computer only had a 30 MB hard drive on it. It was plenty of space until I put Windows 3.1 on there :)

I have a 20GB drive for the OS drive on my media center. Of course, I have 680GB in other hard drives in the system as well. :D

I have an 80 in my laptop (well about 70 usable after the true size of 76 and the restore partition) and I ran out, I built an external 40 gig to hold random stuff I don't use as much. Ehhh I'm selling the laptop anyway and building a nice desktop, with a 250gig drive :D

I think my Top Gear collection wouldn't fit..

I have a 40 and a 160...starting to run out, but I can't think of anything else I want to d/l..so I'm probably alright for a while.

Hey man... I remember when I had a 248MB HDD and it was HUGE! Then I upgraded to a 1.2GB HDD and that was an ungodly amount of space...

But that was back when Win3.1 only took up like 20MB and the average game would fit on a few floppies.... Good times.... :)
