just downloaded the 1.07 Voodoo3 2000 drivers...... Help Counter - Strike is running LAGGY

For some odd reason it is lagging especially after i do a quick sudden turn i have no sense of direction... and teammates and opponents are skipping (not all the time) Maybe I funktified the 3dfx Advanced Features.. what do u guys have it set on?

What is my pushlatency supposed to be set on? for cs

Is this only happening when you're connected to an actual internet game, or just all the time?

Try setting up a LAN game (even if you don't actually have a LAN, you can still do this ) and see if the problem persists when you're not connected to an internet server.

What is your connection btw? I have 512K ADSL (ping 40ms) and have set rate 9000 enabled. For a 56 modem it should be about 4000 I think...

i have 1.5mb down and 40KB up mediaone cable or now its ATT. usually ping anywhere from 25-80 i refuse to play anything above that.... i am a ping pussy. haha


Well the only time i play counter strike is online ..... i dont think it would be all that fun if i was playing alone.


and how would i set up a lan game if i dont have a lan?

Play CS ---> Lan games ---> Create game.

I know that obviously you don't want to play on your own. This is just a way of seeing if the jerkiness might have something to do with your internet connection...just a thought.
