and I don't know why, I mean I'm overweight, don't live the healthiest lifestlye, work my self to death yet I rarely get sick and if I do its just a minor bump on the road.

This Xmas I go to my parents with my new fiance, they anouce sorry hope you don't get sick but we just got over a major stomac flu (my dad was the only person that haden't got it yet) well its tuesday now, my dad, brother, sister in law, fiance, and step sis are all in bed sick and I felt a little "off" but thats it, hell i even worked my ass of in work expecting to be sick tonight but I actually feel better now after work. and its been years since I have used a sick day at work for actually being sick.

anyone else like this?
 
I rarely get sick myself. I think I have taken one sick day in the last 6-7 years. My secret: stay away from little children. They are germ factories. 🙂

That's why I keep my little kids in the closet, wrapped in plastic. I haven't been sick in years. :colbert:
 
My last 2 sick days were fakees. The previous one was because the asshole I was in the field with made me do a 12 hour day, so I felt obligated.

This week might be different though... I may have caught something, or effed myself by taking the garbage in (long story) last night in a t-shirt.
 
I caught a nasty bug last year around this time. Kids got it first. It lasted about 36 hours, I passed out sitting on the toilet, only to wake up head first in the corner of the bathroom. My neck hurt like hell for a few days.
 
I don't mind it too much. It's the perfectly legitimate excuse to sit around all day and do absolutely nothing (and not feel bad about it either).
 
I get sick, but I've only taken 1 sick day in all the years I've been teaching. And, at the pizza shop (27 years), I only missed 3 days - unexpected death of my grandfather, and the other two times, I had to be taken to the hospital. Hell, I even went to work about 8 hours after having a vasectomy.
 
rarely get sick. two or three times every ten years or so. i attribute it to never getting a flu shot and never smoking or drinking
 
I remember when I was in ~5th grade after a long day of hiking and motorboating with my family (siblings, cousins, dad, uncles, grandfather), nearly every single person had the shits the next morning except me and my dad. I had mild gas when I woke up and then I was good as new.
 
im usually like rhat never gets colds or the flu or even headaches.....or so i thought...turns out i had a masive colinization of staph,that suddenly reared its disgusting head...nearly took my leg or worse,i was septic, been in the hospital for almost a month now,it turned into necrotizing fascitis..went from a bump to a gaping wound in literally hours.
 
Little things like if you touch your face and if you are aware of what you touch determines if you get sick.

I work in a hospital so at first I caught like 7 colds simultaneously that KO'd me until I learned to pretty much never touch my face while working.
