Just donated $250 to Obama campaign

The simple thought of 4 more years of Bush policies scared the living shit out of me and has propelled me to donate for the 1st time in my life to a political campaign.

Anyone else do the same?

There are millions of first time donors like you supporting Obama.

I want to make sure Obama wins the West Coast states, especially CO and NM. In fact, if he wins there he wins this election.

I know a few people in NM and I am encouraging all of them to vote Obama and spread the word. Hopefully I can do my part this year and save us from disaster.

We all gotta do our part to win this election. We can't be smug like we were in '04, we must act as if we are going to lose this election. GOTV like your life depended on it. If you live in a battleground state do everything you can to spread the word. If everyone helps we can make a difference and push things Obama's way.

Reread that thread; jpeyton is ridiculing a Moron in Florida who called Senator Obama a "half-breed Muslin". Note carefully the last letter in the word "muslin" and jpeyton's link to the fabric.

Yep. Just make the case. But, to be honest, McCain is doing it for you. The man doesn't even talk about the issues anymore. Now he wants to talk about corruption in Washington, as if this is 2006 all over again.

last time I looked New Mexico and Colorado had not joined us on the coast😕

Yes inspirational maybe I'll donate 500 to Palin.

We can't assume that the rest of the nation can see through McCain's lies. That's the mistake we made in '04, we assumed America could not be so dumb as to vote for 4 more years of Bush.

Take nothing for granted. Do everything you can so that when Election Day passes you can say you did your part to try and make America a better place.

Just because jpeyton can't spell does not make him a moron so please stop.

Just for the hell of it, a rephrase:

We can't assume the rest of the nation can see through Obama's charade. That's the mistake the democrats are currently making. They're voting out of "faith" in Obama as opposed to reason, despite their supposed religious liberalism. Fact is, Obama doesn't have anything going for him but charisma and what appear to be empty promises.

Take nothing for granted. Do everything so that when Election Day passes, you can say that you put a reasonable moderate in office as opposed to a hardcore partisan liberal.

Good man! The Obama campaign thanks you.
Now, go stand in that line, your Kool-Aid(tm) will be served shortly.

For your convenience, we will also spam you, asking for money two or three times a day with emails made to look like they come from the party's top leaders to inspire you to send more.

If you double your original contribution, we will increase your daily dose of Hopium to levels previously reserved only for BHO's backstage smoking companions.

"Obama has also gone back to his small donors -- 49 percent of his contributors through July 31 gave $200 or less. That means the Democratic nominee has millions of financial supporters who can donate again without exceeding federal contribution limits."

Corporate money funneled through the RNC means that, at best, it might be an even playing field for Obama in terms of monetary reserves.

He doesn't need your money. He's got Oprah money backing him.

She can only give the same max amount as any one else. I think $2300 is the max.

There are ways around that. For instance, Obama can come on her show where all the Oprah drones will do as instructed, and McCain doesn't get an invite. That's a BIG boost for Obama. Oprah has a lot of drones. A LOT!

She's already said NO candidate of either party until after the election. Oprah's too smart to sacrifice her show (and all the money she makes from it) for a presidential candidate.

I think Obama has to bring in $100 million PER MONTH just to match all the corporate money the RNC gets to assist their "I'm a Maverick" puppet.

And you wonder why he opted out of public financing...

McCain is going to be anything but a moderate if he assumes office. His campaign thus far should have told you just thought, it's going to be an extension of all of Bush's failed policies which this nation cannot afford.

That is not something I'm going to watch happen again. I'm doing everything on my part to make sure we don't elect Bush 2.0

And nothing I say here has even a remote possibility of convincing you otherwise right?

I'd go for Obama if he said something with backing that actually made sense. Have you read his "blueprint for change"?
http://www.barackobama.com/pdf...BlueprintForChange.pdf

Like all things Obama, it's all "Obama will do this, and Obama will do that, and Obama will do bleh bla blaagh"

Promises up the arse, most of which are unrealistic given the rest of the government.

If you read McCain's page, there's some of that, but there's also a lot of "John McCain believes" and "John McCain supports" and "John McCain proposes".
ie: http://www.johnmccain.com/Info...-859f-0ef1468e96f4.htm
He's a hell of a lot more realistic.

Personally I see Obama as the anti-Bush. Bush screwed us one way, Obama will simply screw us in the opposite direction.

McCain also has quite the bi-partisan semi-moderate record, Obama has the exact opposite. Both of these facts are on record and undeniable.
