I went to clean my old mouse tonight and and when I got done I had a left over part

It's the little spring thing that makes the wheel click instead of moving smoothly. It sort of popped out by accident and I didn't notice how it went in before hand, and I couldn't figure it out. So I broke out the Microsoft optical mouse I've had hoaded away for six months or so. Now it's all good, and I pitched the old one after I dropped the little spring and couldn't find it. I should have switched them out a long time ago.
 
Erm, I've been using optical mouses since the day microsloth came out with them. I'll never go back to a non-optical mouse if I can help it. Cleaning em sucks.
