Just did some wrenching on the wife's car.

Had to replace the power window regulator on the drivers side. The door panel was the biggest pain of all. There are three bolts that hold both the door panel in place AND the window rails in place. Very poor design IMO.

Anyways....always love that feeling when a task is complete. Time for a beer and a cigar. Cheers.

ps. Lots of sharp little edges in there...I am bleeding from every finger I think.
 
Just did the power lock actuator on my wife's elantra last weekend and I know your pain. Whole door has to come apart, window glass out just to get to it. Bleeding from multiple cuts and hands so sore. She appreciates though. She can now lock her door with the fob again instead of having to stick the key in the lock.

in the last 10 years as a body man ive worked on just about EVERYTHING. and by far the caliber has the worse door/window regulator design EVER. i hate hate hate those cars for that reason alone. many 4 letter words have been screamed doing those damn things
 
Don't we have a wrenching thread? Maybe that one should be stickied. But then, what's the point of the Garage, right?

I agree.
 
I love working on cars but fixing windows and working inside doors is the thing I hate the most.

Would much rather have a strut assembly in my hand than a window regulator.
