max AF: 4
vetext shaders: optimal
repeat tests: off
fixed framerate: off

Just use the default settings and run the benchmark. Its hard to compare when somethings that shouldn't be enabled as the "standard benchmark" are.

Meanwhile, that sounds pretty weak for a system of that calibur.

Okay I just realized something, dont know if it makes a dif tho.

I was running the 1st test @ 4xAA and 16xAF on D3D and OpenGL

I Ran the test again and set AA+AF to application controlled and I got 9903.

Also, I have the latest mobo drivers 4.27 I belive and Im using Cat 4.9.

So, is 9903 bad for 0xAA and 0xAF?

Second that. Check for AGP textures at dxdiag and if they are enabled.

Your not supposed to run 3dmark03 with any AA or AF, keep em application preference. You should get about 10,000 on stock settings with it.

Hmmm okay, I dont know why I only get 9900 then:\ Could it be a driver issue mabye? I recently switched from my GeForce3 to my x800 on saturday. I ran driver cleaner so I cant see that as the problem but im just not sure.

~10000 is base x800 Pro and 6800 GT levels, maybe a bit higher for the GT. Overclock that mofo to get 12k+.

I get around 11,000 with my BFG GT @ all stock settings. 9,000 isn't terribly off the mark for an X800 Pro, given that it in all reality is not as powerful of a card (No flame wars please, its a certifiable fact). Might double-check your settings and latest drivers, but that sounds about right.

I get a 9661 with bone stock settings on my X800 Pro, so your score might be slightly off the mark, but it's in the ballpark of normal X800 Pro performance. I've overclocked mine as high as 540mhz/1.1ghz and gotten a touch over 11000.

the X800 Pro's don't really do all that well in 3dmark03, 9900 sounds right in line IIRC. Once they are overclocked they do much better. Either way I wouldn't worry about it, for a stock Pro its not bad.

you're in the ballpark . . . doesn't Futuremark have an online comparison available with other similar systems?

by default, 3DMark03 uses some AF (aa?, i forget) . . . just make sure your CP has it set for Ap pref.

And OVERclock that sucker . . . . at least to see what'll do . . . . i am guessing at least another thousand points. :)

12K? thats for a X800XT rather,

I think X800 pro should be getting about below 10K to be reasonable.
coz 3dmark03 is more VGA card based rather then CPU

but frankly my 9700 Pro is getting
5K ++

9900 is close enough to 10K that I wouldn't sweat it.
