When the mods delete a thread (such as the super bowl sticky), do you lose the posts from your postcount? I remember on a phpBB forum I used to frequent where there was this mod and small amounts of money were generated from your posts, you would go into negative money if the mods deleted a lot of your posts because it took them off your postcount.

Dude, it would be sweet if we got paid for our postcount. The quality of the forums would degenerate very quickly.

Yeah, that was one of the problems. It was a n00b forum already, but implementing such an idea quickly became very bad. Then a few of us started exploiting certain features of the mod and getting massive amounts of gold. I ended up making billions a day in interest before people realized what was up. Eventually they shut down the whole thing.

But back to the question at hand, when mods delete topics for various reasons, does it affect the people's post counts?

actually, i am willing to bet no threads are ever deleted they are just moved to a collection place where we cannot view them anymore.
