Finally feels like Fall here in NH. 9C this morning with a high of ~21C today. Had to wear a flannel shirt this morning (no T-shirt yet). Freaking stupid male testosterone decrease with age - what sort of evolutionary trick is this?!

Sunny, breezy and about 67f in CT.... not really "cold" at all but time to break out the long-pants again for sure.

Won't be long till its time to crank up the heat ... I'M NOT HAPPY.

You should heat with mining rigs... +$$$ :)

I've considered mining since I do have a 3080FE non-LHR card but I decided I didn't want to risk beating on it when I can't afford to replace it if it fries.... my backup GTX-980 isn't a strong enough mining card to be worth it. (especially in an FX-8350 based system!)

It's been windy and rainy here for a couple of days. It's supposed to let up this evening...and clear up for a few days...then back to the normal highs bear 60, lows in the lower 50's...and into the 40's next week.

I hadn't heard all this was from a tropical storm.
We didn't get the expected rain today. A brief shower this afternoon. They lowered the chances of severe weather & tornadoes this afternoon/evening, so that's a good thing but yeah, a pretty bleak forecast over the weekend. Too bad there isn't some football on... oh wait, there is :D

Rain rain rain. I hate this time of year. We had a small break of it for a few days though but it's not letting go any time soon now. I hate that it's so dark out all the time too. It's the part of winter I hate the most, the constant darkness.

I'm mostly done with outside projects though so at least I got that going.

I wonder if all this rain is coming from hurricane Brandon. :p

We had showers in the AM then breezy and partly sunny today with dropping temps. Supposed to be in the mid-low 40's (f) tonight.

Pretty much the same here but colder. 5C right now. I actually put my winter coat on today.
At 5C! Sorry, you just can't be Canadian :p. I throw on a light jacket or sweatshirt at that temp (NH, USA).

17C here and going down! Was going to re-paint the bulkhead this year, too late!

But it was a cold 5C! :p

Seriously though, it's weird. I've seen 5C that is not cold and 5C that feels like -30. This was the 5C that feels like -30. It just goes right through to the bone.

5c/41f = Just about the temp that I break down and start wearing long pants again!

And I'm in Connecticut about 3/4's of a mile from the water.

Sometimes when the humidity is high and the temps are in the upper-30's/low 40's (f) the wind-chill can fall well below freezing without much of a breeze at all leading to brutal conditions.

The combination can feel "heavy" the way you describe and cut right through even a light jacket.

When a friend of mine moved back here(NW PA) after living in Alaska for several years him & hs wife complained on how cold it felt in the winter. We have fairly high humidity even thru the winter here.
