We had a storm hit before midnight last night. The wind was gusting so hard that my air conditioner was making a sustained whistling sound. It sounded like the drive-in theater/car garage scene from Twister. I can't find the wind data for my exact area but Bridgeport had a 7 minute sustained wind gust of 58mph.

+1 but feels much colder.

I hate this time of year, really start to get tired of winter as it just drags on but we get teased with the odd nice day making it look like we'll have an early spring then it's back to winter.

Someone on my FB posted these. Didn't realize the river was this high, don't really notice while driving since I'm focusing more on the road and trying to avoid potholes.

Most of our snow melted in the past week or so and we've had rain on top of it. It has sent us into a flood warning.

This year's little league baseball team will be playing water polo. Seriously though hopefully it doesn't get any hire than this. Years ago it did and lot of houses ended up with water in their basement. The ones near the park are at risk.

Funny enough in terms of disasters it's pretty tame here. This is like the worse thing we see and typically not too many people end up affected. I see all these stories about tornadoes and hurricanes etc down south and houses completely destroyed and it's like no thanks!

The storm from Tuesday caused a fair amount of havoc here.

apparently 11,700 homes were without power for more than 24 hours. A number of trees and poles came down as well.

14C right now. Finally getting some nice weather. Too bad this is basically my last day of vacation. I get the weekend then back to work. I hardly did any of the work I wanted to do as it was so cold for most of it, and I also got sick which didn't help.

I submitted the gas meter reading the other day and been trying to see how long I can go without using the furnace since then. Since we're getting sun now I can run electric heaters off solar, so that's actually been helping. Free heat. Used the wood stove a few times too, the wood I have left over is dry enough now. Will gather more wood throughout the summer for next winter.

Been in the pool once this year already too. Very rare. Temp showed 74 on the floater, but it felt a bit cooler, probably from stirring up the water. Showing 76 today.

We've had beautiful sunny, cool weather in San Antonio with low humidity. I knew it wouldn't last but wow. Forecast for this week shows 105F for Wednesday :(
